Autoreel Cable Winding and Winder Systems

Using a patented design concept, the Autoreel PLW machines replace the traditional shaft and utilise pintles to support the cable drum. This makes loading very easy, reduces heavy handling, and increases the efficiency of one-man operation.

The layout gives the operator a clear view of all the monitoring of the operation from a single station. Easier loading and operation mean faster turn-around and thus make an important contribution to the economy of the winding process. For this reason the PLW series are especially suitable for multi-product, continual usage or large volume applications.

A PLW take-up combined with a PLP payoff provides the ultimate in efficient cable winding systems.

The GWS series of Take-up and Payoff units are available in four standard sizes, 4000, 6000, 10,000 and 20,000kg, other sizes are available to special order. The unique modular design and wide range of options allows them to be easily tailored to suit any application. A feature of the GWS range is it's open design allowing ease of access around the drum. One of the standard modules is the motorised manoeuvring carriage, when fitted the machines become fully mobile with the versatility and variety of movement to efficiently pick up even the most awkwardly placed drums. This option also allows the machines to be moved around the working area.
